      Where and how should coloured sprinkles be applied?

      These decorations can be used on creams, desserts, biscuits and coatings made from honey or chocolate. A traditional use for sprinkles or sugar balls is Neapolitan struffoli.

      They can also be applied to uncoated desserts: melt some honey in a bain-marie and brush it over the surface with a pastry brush. Apply the decorations so that they adhere firmly.

      Alternatively, add the coloured sprinkles to the cake mixture immediately before baking.

      Ingredients:

      The sugar sprinkles are produced by cutting sugar into "small cylinders or flakes" and adding food colours (red, green, yellow, blue, pink, light blue and so on).
